But Debra Jo Rupp’s charm made it obvious why the That ‘70s Show cast always ended up at the Forman household to pass the time.īut where has Debra Jo Rupp been up to since? A little bit of everything, really, landing bit parts on various TV hits such as This Is Us and a recurring guest spot on Kutcher’s The Ranch. While sitcom mothers were always undisputedly squeaky clean, Kitty Forman could only wish to be June Cleaver, if it were not for having a staunchly divisive husband, two rebellious children, and a not-too-subtle drinking problem. It seemed like Kelso didn't love her due to all of the times he cheated on her.(Image credit: Fox) Debra Jo Rupp (Kitty Forman) Kelso + Jackie Forevs!ĭespite the fact that they were together for about four seasons and were alike, I never saw chemistry between them. There were plenty of times where you could tell Kelso absolutely loved her and she absolutely loved him. He may have cheated on her, that doesn't mean that he didn't love her. But when she was with Hyde, they were so dull and had constant drama with each other.īesides, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are together in real life so it was destined to be anyway. They were way funnier and brought out the best in their characters. WHYY does everyone ship Jackie and Hyde? For me, it was always Jackie and Kelso. Unlike when they were with their other friends. And they knew that they were in a safe, non-judgemental environment when they did so. There were things that only they could understand about each other, or talk to each other about. He also seemed to mature more with her.īut the thing I liked most about their relationship (other than their compatibility) was how well they understood each other. And I think her bossiness gave him a sense of direction that he lacked in his other relationships. Maybe that's because Kelso always did everything Jackie told him to, but he didn't mind that. In that way I feel like Kelso and Jackie were more compatible.
Especially in what they wanted out of their lives. While I agree that Jackie and Hyde had a really good relationship where they both grew together, they never felt like a couple that could make it in the long-run because of their major differences. Hyde helped Jackie to be more realistic, more practical, and Jackie made Hyde more soft, I mean, he actually tell her that she loved her! When we all know how hard is for Hyde to express his feelings. Especially since Hyde wasn't one to get her gifts, or be lovey-dovey, but those times when he told her he loved her or how he talked about her, you could see he really did love her. She made him softer, he made her stronger. I would like that the producers, would make an extra episode 10 years later and that Fez and Jackie would breakup, and that Hyde and Jackie would come to their senses and get back together. The best couple is Hyde and Jackie, I was so sad when they didn't end up together in the end. You see Jackie and Kelso and think they're gonna get married or you take a look at Eric and Donna and just know they're gonna be with each other forever. The relationship of Jackie and Hyde were perfect because you wouldn't think they'd end up together.
